A big point of difference for us is that we own & breed all the cattle that enter the Quality Pasturefed Beef meat chain. These cattle roam our paddocks at will, enjoying native grasses & mixed species fodder crops.
Our meticulous record keeping allows us to capture the life of each individual animal from when it was born, to who its parents are & which paddock they have grazed in & when.
Our regular weight recordings allow us to have a strong grip on feed conversions, ensuring we maximise the value of each blade of grass.
Once an animal becomes over 400kg, it is considered ready to enter the Quality Pasturefed Beef meat chain, however only the most ‘finished’ animals on the day are chosen. This decision is made after careful consideration of individual weight gains & inspection of body structure & composition to ensure we are sending the best animal possible.
The cattle are then trucked using our own transport vehicle to an appropriately accredited processing facility. Following humane slaughtering, the carcass is then hung for approximately 10 days prior to butchering.
The meat is butchered, packaged & labelled at the butcher shop attached to the processing facility. During this process all meat is vacuum packed into meal sized portions, making it conveniently ready to go straight into your fridge or freezer.
We then pick up the packaged product in our Foodsafe Accredited coldroom trailer from which we pack your order & deliver directly to you, ensuring that our product is ‘farm fresh’ and that your meat is genuinely ‘paddock to plate’.
It is important to us to deliver quality products that every customer can enjoy – from the home chef to the fussiest of children. We want our customers to have an enjoyable eating experience when they choose our beef.
We love our motto: ‘Delivering grassfed goodness from our front gate to yours’.
Our SafeFood Qld accreditations include both Transport & Storage, so, if need be, we can safely hold your order until you are ready to take delivery.
